Yes, Jonas and Sarah were first cousins in addition to being husband and wife! For those who may not know, a branch of the BARRACLOUGH family were clock makers in Haworth, Yorks. The BRONTE parsonage, on the stair landing, has a BARRACLOUGH grandfather clock. Down the lane in the villiage, the present day gift shop also has a different style of BARRACLOUGH grandfather clock. The owner, Mary, claims to also be a BARRACLOUGH descendant. The actual clock shop was 4 doors from the gift shop toward the square, away from the kirk, and is a candy shop today (1996).
