Hi Everyone, Well I have recovered from all the Xmas festivities and now I have some extra energy :-) thought would send my New Years Greetings to you all. This past year has seen my database grow even further thanks to the help of quiet a number of you. I want to THANK everyone who has contributed to the list, for without you all we would not be able to share our Barraclough info, quiet as easily as we can. Special thanks goes to our Linda for keeping us all in line :-) and making this list possible, and her friend my not so little ELF (Peter) who helps out maintaining the list when Linda is away. I also want to send a Special THANKS to two gentleman on this list, who have been an enormous help to me with my Barraclough work for a number of years now. Jeff & Derek. Your help with sorting and transcriptions of Barraclough material has been enormous. I want to THANK YOU both so much for everything, for without your help, I would still be plodding along at a snails pace trying to work them all out :-) I want to say that, our quest to find out more about our illustrious Barraclough's continue into 2004. On my own lot, it has been a very rewarding 12 months. I moved on another generation down from my Stephen to find the names of all his nieces and nephews who where still living in Yorkshire after he emigrated Down Under. Also having the Deeds indexes transcribed by Brian Jones has also, been very helpful. As I now have a copy of the deed whereby we have been able to confirm that our William Barraclough (Father of Stephen) did indeed enter into a partnership and took out a loan with the bank to purchase land and building in Hunslet to start his business with his partner in Hope Mills, Hunslet, Leeds. I also think I have found the Deeds entries for the sale of his half share in that mill, and him buying into a partnership of another mill Otley Mills, Otley. But will have to wait until Brian can transcribe the entries for me to be sure. I hope you have all been able to make some progress in your Barraclough trees in 2003, and hope you all have great success again in 2004. To you all, and your families Best Wishes for 2004 & God Bless you all. >From Kim and her family Down Under
