Happy New Year, Just to get you back into the swing of things I am listing all the Barraclough entries contained in the Fewston Parish Registers. There were some interesting spelling variations, but I suppose that's to be expected. The vicar of Fewston would no doubt have had difficulty understanding someone from as far afield as Wibsey (or was it Hipperholme??) (Fewston is about 20 miles North of Wibsey). These were Abraham's children: - Mary baptised 4 March 1603/4; John 12 January 1605/06; William 10 January 1607/08; Francis 21 February 1609/10; Jane 23 August 1612; Charles Barraclough had a son John baptised 30 December 1604. The wife of Abraham Barraclough was buried on 24 April 1614. John Barraclough married Isabel Gamble on 14 November 1625 John Barraclough had a daughter (no name) baptised 16 November 1628. There were no other Barraclough entries. Following the death of his wife it appears that Abraham's family moved back to Wibsey, where he remarried and had some more children. This latter fact is confirmed by his Will made in 1643. As for Charles, Charles' wife, John and John's wife Isabel I would be interested to hear any theories on what might have happened to them.
