    3. hi everyone, found this article in the Bradford telegraph and argus dated Friday 2nd November 1928, wondered if anyone would like to claim him. RAWDONS LOSS Funeral of Mr Stephen Barraclough the funeral took place yesterday at the Rawdon Wesleyan Burial Ground of Mr Stephen Barraclough formerly well known in business and church circles in Upper Airedale. Mr Barraclough who was aged 87 was a native of Rawdon and prior to leaving the township nearly 20 years ago was the principle of the firm of Mallinson, Barraclough and Co Ltd, Green Lane Mills, Yeadon. Mr Barraclough was closely associated with the Rawdon Wesleyan Church and was largely responsible for the erection of the existing church of which he was a trustee. he was keenly interested in education and was one of the first members of the old Rawdon School Board. he was also one of the original members of the old Local Government Board at Rawdon. Before the interment there was a service in the chapel at which the Rev. H. Scott officiated. Among the firms and organisations represented were: Naylor and Jennings Green Lane Dyeworks. Yeadon Hospital Fund. Rawdon District Council. Yeadon and Rawdon Education Committee. Rawdon Wesleyan Church. Rawdon Liberal Club. Rawdon Board of Guardians.
