Hi Bev, I don't have any information, but if it helps, I think that Sorwood Green, should read Norwoodgreen, which is actually just within the Parish of Halifax, on the edge of the Royds Hall Estate. There was a Sowerby Green, but that was only a small part of the village of Sowerby. I live in Birstall and know the area quite well.
