Hi Listers, Is anyone related to Isaac Barraclough, d. 1861, who was the second husband of Sence Cadman, b. 1821, Sheffield? Their children were Martha b.c. 1851, John (b. 1853), and Isaac (b. 1857). Sence appears in the 1881 census as Sence Preswood (3rd husband Wm. Presswood d. 1865) with the three children and a grandchild Annie. I have a later Barraclough who married the son of a Cadman, and I'm trying to straighten out the Cadman line (there are three different versions of the family on the Web and IGI). Sence was the daughter of John, b.c. 1778, Sheffield, silver knife handle maker, according to one of these Websites. "My" Cadman was Caroline, b. Isle of Man 1853, daughter of Henry Cadman, b. 1813, Handsworth, later of Isle of Man and Sheffield. She married Spencer Marsh Smith, and their son Henry Cadman Smith married my ancestor Clara Gertrude Barraclough (she used the name Gertrude Cadman-Smith after she was married). Thanks for any light you can shed on this branch of the family. Mary Lodi, WI, USA
