Harry, I don't know how to get in touch with David Barraclough but I have a BARRACLOUGH connection in Rastrick. My g,g grandmother was Mary Ann BARRACLOUGH who married William Mitchell HINCHCLIFFE in Halifax district in 1874. They resided and raised a family in Rastrick(there is entry in 1881 census). I have conflicting information on Mary Ann BARRACLOUGH'S parents. The marriage certificate gives Mary Ann BARRACLOUGH as her name and indicates she was a 20 year old spinster at the time of their marriage. However, family information indicates her last name was JAEGER, daughter of Thomas William JAEGER and Mary Ann BARRACLOUGH. The latter contradicts the marriage certificate. I am obviously confused by the information I have collected. If anyone has any information that would sort some of this out, it would be much appreciated.
