Now that 'under 7' is recorded for child burials it is often possible to find the same child among the baptisms. I've often wondered what was special about the age of 7.Could it be that at 8 years old most children were wage earners, and as such were then counted as adults when it came to burial. Any suggestions ? Cheers-------Derek 1
