In my recent posting about the marriage of Hannah Barraclough to George Smith at Bradford Parish Church on 27 July 1823, I said there were no clues as to her parents. I feel guilty for not having mentioned the other details I already have. According to the 1841 and 1851 Census' for North Bierley, Hannah was born in 1807 and had six children. William, George, Thomas, John, Martha and Frederick. According to the 1881 Census she was still living at Slackside, North Bierley, with her son John's family. I would be pleased to hear if anyone does know who her parents were, as I intend following this line back at some time.
