In my research I am finding that more and more of my lines were apparently in Wibsey around the turn of the 19C and since there are no census reports to dive into I thought someone might know of other resources (or may know personally) that would indicate what the approximate population of the town was circa 1750 through 1820ish. I have obtained some information from locals and other researchers that Wibsey is on a hill and used to be somewhat difficult to reach which leads me to believe that the population was most likely not huge during that time period. Taking my assumption to the next level (which ALWAYS gets me into trouble), it seems possible that most of the people with the same surname were closely related . :-) Any help in this area would be greatly appreciated.
