    3. Further info on the Howarth Clockmaker Barraclough's, I'm not sure if Bob Marshall is still on the list or not, but Bob is also a descendent of this particular line, and has been very fortunate in acquiring one of the clock's which he hope's to restore. Bob has also told me that there is also a clock at the Freemason Lodge in London, and that John Barraclough was a Mason . If Bob is still on the list, he may be able to give us some further information. Also this particular line of Barraclough's were not the only one's that lived in the Howarth area. There was another branch of Barraclough's who were shoemakers that lived in Far Oxenhope. They also originally came from Wibsey. Thanks to Peter Northing for this information. By the way has any of the descendants of the Howarth Clockmaker Barraclough's transcribed any of the Barraclough entries from the Howarth Parish Register, anyone except Peter Northing, who has very kindly sent me some of the entries pertaining to the Clockmaker Barraclough's. Many thanks to Susan Eddy, and John Berry for the additional information on the Clockmaker Barraclough's. PS On the subject of the Bronte's has any read the novel by Pamela Haines called "Daughter Of The Northern Fields" If so, let me know, I would be very interested in your thought's regarding the autobiography and manuscript which makes up the book. Is it indeed fact or fiction ?. And when you read it, did you notice it also contacted the Barraclough name :-)) Best Wishes Kim Pasquill Victoria-AUST Email: [email protected] Barraclough Surname Study: http://users.net2000.com.au/~football/index.html ICQ Number: 30110913 Researching: Worldwide - BARRACLOUGH and variant's WRY - TAYLOR-Lightcliffe BATEMAN-Wibsey,Wike POLLARD-Wibsey
