Susannah married my William Barraclough 26th March 1812 at Bradford Parish Church. It was their son Stephen who emigrated to Oz and so started the Oz clan. So if you ever find that your David's sister is any relation to Susannah or George please let me know. Just for whomever's information. According to the 1881 Census William Barrowclough found on piece 4557, folio 68, page 25 is the son of John Barrowclough born 1797 in Mirfield and Hannah Hallas born about 1801. My more knowledgeable Cousin Deb Walker has a birth year for William as being 1826. Christening date Dec 25, 1826 and we believe despite the census saying born in Hetherton it is most likely Mirfield. I hope this helps someone out there. These from omittions due to either illegibility of written entries, old English spelling, faded book sheets and their less than perfect photography and the lack of concern to the actual year entered. Hi All Randy mentioned that we can find death stats for B.C. from the library in Cloverdale on the BC vital stat films. For anyone who has B.C. ancestors, an easier way is to go to the Death Registrations on line at the B.C. Archives. The url is http://www2.bcarchives.gov.bc.ca/cgi-bin/www2vsd I have used it successfully several times, and unsuccessfully once. It takes a bit of practice to know to give it lots of leaway even if you know the specifics. Better to enter as if you don't because the death registration has been done by someone who may be emotionally upset or just a friend, and doesn't know all the exact particulars. As for the Glovers on Lyn's page, I have sent her the exact dates which I got years ago by mailing for them and paying for the death certificates. I also know exactly where Mary Ann and George are buried, but have yet to make the pilgramage. Jeannette Claridge

Although at this point in time I have no connection to them I found them very interesting as my line of Barrowcloughs/Barracloughs ( spelling dependent on the cleric that did the writing) is from Mirfield in Yorkshire. I am told by a cousin there that the name originates near Wakefiled where your line starts. I noticed that you have Mary and George with their death dates listed as abt. I dont know if you are aware but you can most likely get a secure date from the library in Cloverdale on the BC vital stat films.
