    3. Dear Susan There is a lady named Mary Garbutt who is writing a book on George Barr who settled in Medonte Township, Simcoe County, in the Province of Ontario. She may be able to help you. I do not know if she has a computer or an email address. I do not even have her address at the present time but I do have an email address of a lady who has her address. That lady would be Carol Mercer (a Barr descendent) and her email address is ramjam@sprint.ca Perhaps she can tell you of Mary Garbutt's actual address. Mary is doing all the Barrs family tree for the purpose of publishing a book but she may be of some assistance to you. The name "Lessard" does seem to ring some sort of a bell to me. Good luck. Kathy Fee (violinist@sprint.ca) George Barr is my great great grandfather. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Susan & Doug Thomson" <thomsons@cadvision.com> To: <BARR-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, October 29, 2001 6:02 AM Subject: Re: [BARR] Canadian Barrs > My Canadian Barrs > > Andrew McLean BARR b 1834 Kilmaronock, Dunbartonshire, Scotland > son of James BARR and Isobel MCLEAN Married June 19, 1813 Cardross > Dunbartonshire > (James and Isobel had 11 known children. 3. Dear Susan Another thought would be to email the Reference Librarian (if they have one) at the Barrie, Ontario library. I have been there and they have an interesting assortment of microfische files in their genealogy department. Barrie is in Simcoe County and it is a large library for a small town. To get the email address, you might ask your local library if they have access to various public library emails. You might even contact the Toronto Reference Library here in the City of Toronto, Canada, for information as they have a huge genealogical section and helpful librarians.
