I have a John C. Barr in my family that was born in Ohio. I am not sure where exactly, however he was born about 1836. He would be my great great grandfather. This John C. Barr was married to Martha J. Barr. We have several come up with several children, but feel there are some more. So far the children are: Nettie Rose Barr (b. 1868), Anna E. (b. 1872), Thomas (b. 1872), Willie Edna (b. 1877), Martha J. (b. 1879). They have been located in the 1880 Ohio Census, Noble Co., Marion Twp. We also feel other children were Grace, Cleo, Mat, and Sam however, we have not been able to find them in the census yet. We also have not been able to locate them any other year or place. Nettie Rose Barr married Robert Graham in the Noble Co. Monroe Co., Ohio area. Nettie Rose died between 1904-1906, after giving birth to twins, one of which died. The other twin was given to her sister, Willie Edna (Barr) Ogg to raise. My Grandfather was the surviving twin, so we know very little about his Mother's family. Do you think there is a connection between your Barr family in Ohio and mine? I also know that there were some that ended up in Iowa.
