Joyce: I am a Barr descendent from John Barr of OHIO and before that PA. I do not think we are directly related but may be back in Ireland. I do not have the Ireland connection but the original American settler was Thomas Barr and Janet Hutchison of W. Conococheague Creek, Peters Twp. Franklin Co.PA. Thomas was on a 1751 tax list and died around 1799. Wife was killed during an Indian raid on the cabin 29 Feb 1756 and a historical sign is on the property. But I am also wondering if you are the Joyce Kiser of Atlanta, GA and wife of Cleve Kiser.
