and later was commissioned Surgeon of the Sixty-fourth New York Volunteers at the beginning of our War between the States. Later he resettled in the area of Titusville. Crawford Co. (1865 ) and assisted in the women of that area in their childrens birthing. It is possible that he may have been a Uncle of Mary Ann Barr, wife of our Charles, C. Carroll, who in 1861 left Canada , traveled to New York to enlist in one of the New York Regiments we suspect the 64Th. Both Ceorge W. Barr and our Charles C. Carroll may of traveled together to Pa.
