    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: BARR, NOBLET, NOBLETT Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/oVC.2ACIB/1381 Message Board Post: Have long believed that Caleb BARR who died in Franklin Co. TN [@ 1823] was the father-in-law of William NOBLETT of Rhea Co TN and Osage Co. MO. In his will Caleb states "…as it was never my intention to part my negro woman June and her children, I have sold them all to William NOBLET and have received part of the price…" he also mentions a daughter, Margaret [William NOBLETT's wife is named Margaret]. Finally he names as executor "…son in law William NOBLET…". I have long hoped to find some mention of Caleb in the records of Rhea Co. where William NOBLETT resided for most of his adult life. Finally had some success and added a new mystery...Daniel BARR. Mentions of Caleb BARR from Rhea County Deed books A-E 25 April 1811: TN Grant No. 1929 for 100a on west side of Piney based on entry in Surveyors office No. 620 (28 Aug 1810) and founded on Certificate No. 97 issued by Edward SCOTT to William HENRY for 400a (23 March 1810), 100a of which is assigned by said HENRY to Daniel BARR, the enterer.
