Mark was son of William (b. 1780), who in turn was son of an earlier Mark. Mark II came to the US with family in 1840. I've checked and I find no progeny named Thomas - but I don't have all the children in my database. I got the info from the GROS online and the local LDS Family History Center. We (my wife and I) were in Lanarkshire in 2001 and there are a LOT of Barrs there. The region around Glasgow and the Clyde valley are the center for the Barr surname in Scotland. Hope you can find some matches. I'd sure love to find a cousin :^). Cheers, Marion Hope G.M. Hope 1930 SW 19th Way Gainesville, FL 32608 [email protected] 352-371-2795
