What part of Kentucky do your Barr line come from? I am looking for my line from the Owen/Franklin/Scott Co area. My husband's ggrandfather was a Green Barr with a brother named John Barr but my John was married to a Maria Poe. My Green was killed in 1880 with a bullet in the back during a shootout. I just found out I don't even have John Barr's wife's name. His daughter, Elizabeth was born 1804 in Kentucky. The 1880 Pope County, AR Census has Elizabeth's father born in VA and mother born in NC.
