Looking for the parents of Samuel S. Barr b. abt. 1822 Westmoreland County, PA and died February 19, 1896 in Grant Township, Indiana County, PA. He married Isabelle McCalister and they both resided in Grant Township, Indiana County, PA. She died September 18, 1897 at home near Deckers Point, Indiana County, PA. They are both buried in Oakland Cemetery, Grant Township, Indiana County, PA. This is a Presbyterian Cemetery and a Church used to sit on this site. Samuel and Isabelle were charter members of this church. There children were: William Nelson Barr b. December 08, 1846 d. May 7, 1928 Jeremiah Barr b. abt. 1848 George Barr b. abt. 1852 Married Mabel Unknown Mary Barr b. abt. 1854 Silas Barr b. abt. 1857 Isabella Barr abt. 1860 Nancy Ella Barr abt. 1864 Frank Barr abt. 1866 Ellis Barr abt. 1872 All of the children were born in Grant Township, Indiana County, PA. William Nelson Barr was my ggrandfather and I have followed his line forward from his birth to present. Currently am stuck on his parents Samuel S. and Isabelle McCalister Barr. Any help would be appreciated. Have heard his fathers name was also Samuel but this is just hearsay.
