    2. Under the LDS records, you may request microfisk files on Barr surname. I microfisk all of my then Barr records, letters, census, newsletter etc back I believe in the 1980s and gave LDS a copy of the microfisk. Records were sorted by State, then county, also by given names as to the oldest known ancestor with his/her descendants. I realize recently that no one seems to know that these records are available thru your LDS Family History centers Interloan. I never counted the pages but I am guessing there is between 5000 to 10, 000 pages. One of the oldest Barr books on a Robert Barr printed in the 1880s or 1890s is also included. Copyright last for 75 years so it was out of this time frame. Anyway, since there are so many Barr families I thought you all should become aware of this particular source of Barr Records. I am thinking about updating all of these old records with new CD version and will let you know when that becomes available. Michael G. Barr [email protected]

    3. Thank you so much for the update and I have not tried to access LDS files on the family so I will get to that soon. My grandmother was Grace Frances Barr and I know very little about her family particularly her parents and they lived in Michigan, I think. Somehow she got to Philadelphia and married my grandfather on 1-1-1904. I have been concentrating on my husband's family recently, got far more than I had hoped for there, so now it is time to switch gears again. Do keep me up to date on your searches. I really appreciate it.
