My great grandfather's name was John Buchanan Barr who was I believe born in Ontario, Canada. He lived with my grandmother, Sara Johnston, for many years and they had many children together on a farm near Alliston, Ontario. It was always a puzzle why he never married her but my mother tells me he was already married to a woman in the United States and couldn't get remarried. Does anyone have a John Buchanan Barr in their family?
