MAGDALENA was born March 14, 1886 in Buffalo,NY, and died May 11, 1972. Arthur was the son of LEON APOLLINAIRE BARON (French) and MARY JOSEPHINE ROSS (Scotch.) LEON was born in 1843 and died in 1904. My Baron family are from Devon mainly Salcombe Regis John BARON m Mary Driver 21st November 1720 in Salcombe Regis, children found to date of this marriage are..John 1721, Mary 1726, Thomas 1730, and Leonard 1732. Thomas m Mary Tilman 27 June 1757 Salcombe Regis, their 10th known child William was born abt 1786 as he was baptised 22 Oct 1786 when his mother was aged abt 46 and Thomas age 56. Thomas BARON died age 92 on the 4 Jan 1822 and Mary died age 86 22 March 1823 both of Salcombe Regis. William BARON m Mary Perryman (d/o John & Sarah Perryman) 9th September 1811 Salcombe Regis. Their only child James was born 17th December 1811 in Seaton & Beer. As yet no other siblings found. Wm Baron (widower) m Sarah Carter d/o John Ware on 18 June 1846 Salcombe Regis. See 1851 census for Sidmouth. No death found for Mary Perryman. James Baron m Elizabeth Law in Exeter 26th November 1834 see 1851 census for the family in Torquay 1 Happaway Row.
