What a wonderful surprise to see that someone else has information on the Casper Bernhardt family. Casper was my g.g.g.g.g.grandfather, Jacob, my g.g.g.g.grandfather. My grandmother, Minnie Mae Barnhart Wiest, lived to be 92 and all she told me about her parents was their names and place of residence (Chicora, PA). I have a copy of Casper's will if anyone is interested in seeing it, I'd be glad to send it via snail mail. I have some birth, death and marriage information that I would be happy to share. I have listed as Casper's birthplace - Sprenglen, Essen, Germany abt. 1726. That comes very close to what Gary sent to the Barnhart list - Sprendlingen. I have a copy of the ship BOSTON's listing of Casper and his oldest son, Johann Wilhelm,as passengers, arriving in Philadelphia November 10, 1764.
