    3. Hi In the May 1993 Volume of the London Leaf(Ontario, Canada). "among the first of the United Empire Loyalist settler to Westminster Township were Vermonters who settled along Concessions 1 and 2 about 1818. Among them were the names Sumner, Hart, Barnard, Barrow, Stephens and Jackson." It appears that the above families were all from the Bristol, VT area which is now in Addison co. I would appreciate any information that any of you may have on these families in VT or earlier or in Canada. I am descended from the HART family and Stephen Douglas to whom I am copying this message is descended from BARNHARD, BARROW, SUMNER and HART. I understand that the early Westminster HART settler was James HART and he may have had a son John who was born in VT and came with him. By the 1830's there were several HARTs in Westminster Township. Thank you so much? Stan Cornelius cheeka@email.msn.com
