Found on Indiana State Library Genealogy Division Internet site "Indiana Marriages through 1850". STEPHEN: Stephen Mason was listed as a Cooper on the 1850 Shelby, Ripley, IN Census. Eli S. Mason, Cooper, age 33, John A. Mason, age 34, grocery keeper were found on the 1850 Census in Shelby, Ripley Co, IN. Also, Thomas and William Mason, age 46. Were these Stephen's brothers? Cox household in Azalia, Bartholomew County, IN Census for 1860, Page 451,2. Also listed in this household were Willis Pelle, 23, Asenith C. Peele, 21, Edmund B. Peele, 1/2 yr DAVID: David is listed on the Azalia, Bartholomew County, IN 1860 Census, age 21, Mary (Chawmer) Newsom and his brothers John, Josey, Eli. Also listed,Melinda Nichols. On the 1870 Census he was listed with Ella M. (Fislar) and his younger brother, Eli. Ella was his second wife. David and Ella are buried at Earlham Cemetery, Richmond, Indiana. According to Bartholomew Historical Atlas, David was born on Section 33, Sand Creek Township. He was a Justice of the Peace. From 1879 Bartholomew Co. Ind. Atlas provided by Allen County Public Library, David was born Aug. 10, 1839 on Section 33 Sand Creek Township and in 1879 had one child and was Justice of the Peace. (That would have been Chauncey.) He is in Family #2041 on 1860 Census for Bartholomew County. Children: i Gertrude Wakefield b. 1858, IN. ii Hulbert S. Wakefield. iii Vestal Wakefield. In a letter from Vestal 1 OCT 1922, he mentions Helen in Oakland. Is this his sister? Also Sadie and Ed & wife. Who are they iv Helen Wakefield. v Edith Stella Wakefield.
