This is in reply to an email I received today. I thought I'd share. The only other info I have on Catherine's brothers is probably useless to you, but it's a pretty good story. Colonel Barnhart and brother served in the revolutionary war. They were very dark powerful hairy men wearing beards below their knees which frightened the Indians whom they fought with great success. That's it. That's all I have. I believe she may have come from Germany because I think the original spelling of her name was Catherina Bernhardten. She would have come sometime before 1770 or so. She married a Mikesell or a Miller. I'm sorry I couldn't be more useful! LM
