He married FRANCIS "FANNY" HATFIELD Abt. 1820 in Fayette County, Pennsylvania, daughter of ELIAS HATFIELD and ANN LINDSAY. She was born October 16, 1799 in Pennsylvania, and died August 10, 1889 in Connellsville, Fayette County, Pennsylvania. Notes for PHOEBE HADDEN BARNETTE: living in Dunbar TWP in 1870 in house 278 -- 11 houses from Wm. and Fanny with alfred and the kids John 19 Bella 13 both born in Ohio and from a nother marriage of Alfred.1900 living with brother James and and sister jane in connellsville house 222 next to brother william in house221 on east apple street.in 1850 Phebe lived with a John Bradabury and family in Uniontown Connellsville April 22 1901 Mrs. Phoebe Hadden Sites died at the residence of her sister, Miss Jane Barnette, Connellsville yesterday morning. Death was due to general disability, deceased being in her 78th year. She was born in Sprinhill Township, Fayette County, in 1822. She was the daughter of William and Fannie Barnette and was the oldest of ten children. Her early life was spent in Springhill Township and later the family moved to near Uniontown. While visiting her sister in Fayette County, Ohio she met and was later married to Alfred Sites. After residing in Fayette County, Ohio a few years, Mr. and Mrs. Sites moved to Connellsville. Mr. Sites died some time ago. Since then Mrs. Sites has made her home with her brother and sister; James and Phoebe Barnnette. Mrs. Sites is survived by three brothers and two sisters; John D.K. Barnette of Washington, Fayette County, Ohio; William E. Barnette of Connelsville; and Simon Barnette who's present residence is unknown; Miss Jane Barnette and Mrs. Lydia J.! Stetson both of Connellsville. Deceased was always a devout Presbyterian. The funeral will take place tommorow from the residence of W.E. Barentte, 222 East Apple Street, Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock. Rev W.A. Edie will officiate, He will be assisted by Rev. T.J. Edwards. The interment will be in Hill Grove cemetery. Notes for JAMES BARNETTE: james living in in 1900 apple street with sisters phebe and jane James was a telegraph runner or operator it appears. James L. Barnette died at Dixmont yesterday morning of garesis. Deceased was the brother of W.E. Barentte of Connellsville. He formerly lived here and was a watchman for many years at the store of J.D. Frisbee on Main street. Deceased's wife died several years ago . He is survived by by several grown up children. The remains were brought here for interment. The funeral services will be held at the home of W.E. Barnette on East Apple street Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The body will interred in Hill Grove cemetery. JANE BARNETTE, b.
