Diane (and other Barnett researchers) I am very interested to know what wife you have for the younger John Barnett - I have struggled for years trying to identify my John Barnett and have found MANY connections between my line and the Barnett/Farrar line - but the wife doesn't match. My line is John Barnett m. Ann ? (John m2 Elizabeth Hutchins) ch: Athanacius, b. 1749; Anna, b. ca 1751; Martha, b. ca 1753; and possibly 2 others. I descend from Athanacius and Jane Hutchins Barnett (Jane is sister to Elizabeth who married the father John) Does any of this look familiar? Thanks for any input to this nagging question! I have been researching my BARNETT line for over 40 years - I go back to John Barnett and Katherine Farrar. BUT I have found several different John Barnett (Jr.) that claim to be the son of John and Katherine. Frankly, I don't believe it will be possible to PROVE which one of those Johns is the son of old John and Katherine. And I have never found any records that tell the names of the parents of old John Barnett! I have studied the land records in Goochland Co, Virginia and I can't find any proof about old John's parents. Janice Craft "Kerry L.
