There are several JOHN BARNETT men who are claimed to be the son of John and Katherine Barnett - but NO PROOF as to which is the real John Barnett. I am descended from Joseph Barnett b.1831 died in Spartanburg Co, SC - the only proof a registered genealogist was able to put together was that our Joseph was the ONLY one by name of "Joseph" in Goochland Co, Va in the correct time period and two of his children's births were registered in the Douglas Register. I wish we could prove which John was their John and Katherine Farrar's son. I have been researching over 40 years and we have MANY lost Barnett descendants. Janice Craft
