There is a Simson Barnett-age 55 listed in the 1880 Giles Co., TN. Census with wife Martha-age 23 and daughter Alice-10 and son Charles-age 6. I am assuming that this Simson could be spelled Simpson. Does anyone on this list know anything about a Simson or Simpson Barnett? I have checked several counties (Giles Co, TN. and Lawrence Co., TN.-no record found). However they had at least 1 daughter Annie Mae Coker who was born 1888/89 in Lawrence Co., TN. I have no further info on Alice Barnett Coker, but she must have had family in Giles Co. or Lawrence Co., TN. I don't know when Alice died, but her husband, John W., married again at some point (had to be after 1888/89) to a Molly Moore or Sherman (don't know dates on this either). John W. migrated to TX. probably early 1900's. Does anyone have knowledge about this Alice Barnett? I have no info at all on her other than the above. Judy
