Vickie: I descend from 7. Edward BARNETT, son of John and Katherine (FARRAR) BARNETT. Edward was born abt 1734 Goochland Co, VA, died after 4 Feb 1819 in Spartanburg Co. , SC. He married bef 1770 in VA to a Quaker girl named Martha. Her last name is thought to be STANLEY, but this is not proven. Edward and Martha had one daughter, Jane BARNETT, b 10 Dec 1770 VA, d after 1852 Hawkins Co., TN. Jane married John CANTWELL on 10 Dec 1791 in Spartanburg Co., SC. Jane and John CANTWELL had 10 children, which is well-documented in John's Rev. War Pension records. My line of descent is from their son Edward "Ned" CANTWELL.
