Dear list members I have rejoined the barnett list after an absence. I am seeking information on a James BARNETT. He was born on July 24, 1814 at Hambleden, Bucks, England. Hambleden is very near to Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire and it is possible that he gave his place of birth as Henley. He grew up just out of Henley at Harpsden. At the time of the 1851 census (in England) James was living a Rotherfield Greys (just a short distance from Henley), he was unmarried and his occupation was brewers clerk. he was 36 years old. I don't know what happened to James after that date except that he went to America, had a family and died in 1888, probably in the second half of the year but before November.
