Steven Thomas BARNETT (b.1821-GA;d.1862) sp: Catharine COLBURN (b.Abt 1822-SC) 2. Delaney BARNETT (b.Abt 1818-Georgia;d.1860/1870-Hale County,AL?) sp: David COLBURN (b.Abt 1816-South Carolina;m.11 Jan 1838;d.29 Jun 1862-Tupelo,Lee County,MS) 2. Melissa - have you found this family on any census? I would start looking in the 1820 census for a young family with close to the right # of children - remember, children did die between censuses, so look for those especially that have children that fit who you do know. I would even look in the Carolinas in the early census info. If you find a family that looks like it could fit - research it, see where they go and who they end up being. So often the confirmation comes not from finding the info you are looking for but by eliminating every other possibility. It is so much fun.
