Hello to all, these are queries full of questions and information I have some info on family of James Mitchell (Michel, Michael ) Barnett. He was the son of William Barnett and Mary Heazlet. Have a bible record of William's. I will be happy to exchange information. My ancestor was Thomas Barnett who married Elizabeth Davis in McMinn Co. Tennessee. They lived in Monroe, Polk,White and Smith Co. Tennessee. Thomas born ca. 1790 ############################################################### I am descended from John Barnett ( 1717--1804 ) and his wife Ann Spratt ( 1718--1801 ) They came to America before 1736, probably in 1730 from Ireland; the two families apparently traveled together. They settled first, for a few months or years in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, then traveled to Mecklenburg Co. North Carolina about 1740, where they lived and died. Some of the family moved to Wilkes Co. Georgia, near the end of the Revolutionary War.
