    2. Maxine, Thanks for sharing your research. I'm interested in a copy of the information on the Battle of Barnett and anything else relevant to our line. I am researching my husband's family and am having difficulty linking mid-generations. As someone else said, there are way too many Williams and Johns. And in my case way too many James! For you and other listers -- going back, here is our line: grandfather - Stephen Trent Barnett 1871 - 1944 Atlanta - spouse Allen Wattlington g grand - Edward Hammet Barnett 1840 - 1898 - b. Montgomery County (VA) d. Atlanta; spouse Caroline Trent gg grand - James Barnett Jr. d. 1845/46 Montomery Co spouse Mary Ann Wade ggg grand - James Barnett Sr (maybe Capt?) Big Spring Plantation - Montgomery Co. VA spouse unk. perhaps died 1835 family lore has it that the previous generation is also a James (perhaps the Col James from Botetourte Co) with another James or 2 and then John and William II of Londonderry but I can't get the link because on of the wills I have found refers to James as a son-in-law. I welcome info from any of our "cousins" Linda Barnett EdIn a message dated 8/12/03 2:37:18 PM Eastern Daylight Time, mmwaw@sprynet.com writes: > Send me your E Mail if you are a Barnett descendant with your connection > back to first Barnett name you have. > I will put you on list and resend this directly to you.
