Need proof of parentage of Nathan Barnett born ca 1818 in S.Carolina. Married Amanda Francis Johnson 1 Apr 1842 in Forsythe County Georgia. Need her parentage too. Children all born in Ga. were: Cynthia E. born ca 1844 Martha Ann born 19 Sept 1845, married Spencer W. Burnett Frances E. born ca 1849 Henry L. born ca 1851 Jonathan born ca 1856 Barnabas J. born ca 1858 Julia born ca 1859 Elizabeth born 19 May 1866, married Samuel Alexander William H. born ca 1865 Melvina born ca 1867 Early G. born ca 1875 Nathan seems to be the son of Jonathan Barnett shown in the 1840 census being 40-50 years old. Nathan shows up as head of household in 1850 Forsythe Co Ga, and 1860, 1870, and 1880 Milton Co. Ga. On the 1880 census his wife Amanda is gone and Emilie is shown as his wife. Early G. may be her son. There is also a Hannah Barnett age on the 1850 census of Forsythe which would be right for Nathans mother. Any help would be appreciated. Tom Thompson

Have you checked the line of Nathanial BARNAETT & Susannah CRAWFORD? They had a lot of childrenm and moved to the Georgia area about the time thjat owuld make your Nathan fit. NOt my line so I really don't know much about them. Thank you Dianne, Cannot find any connection to that line, but I have a feeling they are related to mine somehow. There are a lot of Nathan Barnetts in Georgia, but I just can't find any documentation to who I think he descends from and that is Jonathan Barnett and Hannah ? I know Nathan fits them. Thanks.
