Jack, My John Barnett b. 1 Sep. 1772 d. 6 Dec. 1851 is said to have lived on the Savannah River in SC. I found many years ago where he sold his boat building and land in North Augusta SC in the late 1700s or early 1800s before moving to what is today Henderson Co. NC. He married Martha ____ b. 26 Apr. 1779. His children were 5 sons & 3 daughters, David b 10 Jan 1798, Charles b. 29 Oct. 1800, Joseph b. 18 Mar. 1804, James b. 19 July 1806, John P. b. 6 Mar 1809, Narcissa b. 6 Feb. 1812, Susannah b. 22 Sept. 1815 and Elizabeth b. 11 July 1819. I have tried for years to find John and Martha's parents with out success.
