Barnett, ( The writer's Great Granfather,/Mary Barnett's ( b 1845) Book. 13...Henry J Barnett Prob Youngest child of William and Anna Rolfe Barnett. b in 1704, in Spottsylvania Co , ( now Part of Orange Co.) VA as of 1734. Henry d on the road at advanced age of 94 yrs, (from , what's now called, Blood Poisoning) with his family moving to Nickolas Co. Ky. Henry was mar 1st to Jane Morron. 2nd wife was Mary Grundy and between them he had a total of 24 ch. ( not known if there were other wives). He had 18 son's and 6 dau's. 17 son's were Rev War Soliers. Some d in service by disease two were burned at the stake, two or three were shot as an Old VA. Ky. 24...John d in Rush Co., Ind. 25... Moses b 20 Aug. 1805, Harrison Co. Ky. James Barnett of above started to move w/ his family in 1793 to Ky from Chambersburg, )A; he was taken ill at Cumberland, MD on the way where he lingered untill 1798, d and bur there. His family then went on to Wheeling, VA and joined other relatives nad built a flat boat and floated down the Ohio to then, Limestone, now Maysville, Ky , then to Bourbon, Co. They moved to Hancock Co. Ind, in 1837. Jonathon laid out the town of New Palestine, Ind. In 1850 they moved to Noblesville, Hamilton Co. Ind where they both died. They had 10 children; 37...Sarah Ann Evans, b 1822,mar Gustavus Henry Voss in 1845 she d. in 1880. He was of an Old Hugenot Family who came from back Nancy France to So. Car. and he was b in Cincinati, Oh. and first to Graduate from the State Univercity of Bloomington, Ind. and practiced Law in Noblesville and Indianapolis being a prominent Lawyer. Sarah and Gustavus had 5 children; 38... Theresa Harriot Voss who mar Willer B. Smith and left 4 children. 39... Harold Voss Smith of Indianapolis 40...Scott Smith of " 41...Goldwin Jay Smith of Portland ,Ore. 42... Mrs Edward Harwich of Texas. 43...Corina E. Voss mar Isaac P. Randolph, a desc, Peton Randolph and Thomas Jefferson. They had 2 children who died young. 44...Tarquinia Lora Voss never mar. lived in Indianapolis Prominent in club and asociety work; State Pres. of Daughters of Revolutionfor 26 yrs. Represented state of Ind. in France at International Exposition in 1900. Had degrees from DePauw Collegeand univer. of Paris; Lived abraod mostly for 15yrs; served on many state and civic boards etc. She has 1 adopted dau, Lurline Tarquinia Voss, born dau of Goldin Jay and Grace Walker Smith ..
