I'm searching for info on my Henry C. Burnett who married Eda (Edith) Stancil in Union, NC. Both born around 1800, they went on to have a son named John C. Burnett who married Mary Stancil. I am their fourth great granddaughter through their daughter, Francis C. Burnett Henderson. John disappeared just before the 1860 census so I don't know if he was in the war or not. Mary lived until after 1880 along with her mother, Mary (last name unknown) who was born in Scotland in 1780 and was alive after 1880. Both mother and daughter resided in Morning Star, NC.
