    3. STexasbell, My gggrandfather was William Barnett, married to Mary Jane Crippen. We THINK they came from Texas. I was wondering if you had seen them in that cemetery you mentioned. Just wondering. Thanks. Barnett b. 1790 m. 1) Susannah Short 2) Susannah Whiter Hi, I seen your message abt. John Oliver Barnett and his wife Elizabeth living in Brenham Tex, my Barnett decendents lived in Robertson county Tex. abt. 5 miles out of Franklin tex. That is abt. 13 miles from Hearne. Most of my decendents were Baptist ministers also. I thought maybe being that close in distant there could be some relation. I noticed there was a Newton C. in your line we had a Newton Calvin in ours but born later I don't know for sure but think it was in the early 1870's. My gggrandfather was Matthew Abraham Barnett born in 1834 in Georgia, he only went by Abraham though he was a CSA vet came to texas abt. 1888 to Grimes county & than to Robertson county abt.1900. His father was Berry W. Barnett born somewher in S.C. in 1813 was married to Martha ???. If you can make any connection please let me know. If you live close enough you might want to visit the Mt. Pleasent cem, outside of Franklin Tex, there are many many Barnetts buried there including my ggrandfather, gggrandfather & many other Barnetts & realtives.
