Lane Barnett's death after birth of her 1st child, My granfather, John Robert Barnett b on 7 Oct. and some say abt 3 years later???. ) I just read a piece that says that says, The son WILLIAM ANDERSON BARNETT and Maybe Mary Lane lived for a while in Bacon Springs, Cooke Co Tx . This will give a period of time that lapsed of from 7 Oct. 1875 to sufficient time before birth of William's and Sarah Ann Haye's first child leaving then to have mar. abt , Sepr/ Oct 1878. (That would be about 3 yrs between death of Mary, bringing the story of 3 yrs after John's birth close to true.) Those yrs it was uncommon for a person, man to stay single with little Ch in home. abt 3 yrs. ??? James William Siebert Barnett , who was born 29 Sept. 1879 in Farmington ? Grayson Co. Tx. William and Sarah must have gon to Lark after Nora was born in Bacon Springs Cooke Co Tx., Dec 1884 but may have waited till spring due to weather. After their stay in Okl. ?? ,how long they must have left after Apr. 1888 or in 1889 directly to Arago, Coos Co, Or. I have several stories written abt their trip to Ore and think it must have been spring of 1889. As you see with this new imfo I will have to do more research. Other childen born after leaving Grayson Co 1889 for Oregon All born in Ore. Otis Agustus Barnett born 24 Dec 1896, Araga. Coos Co. Or mar May 1926 to Edith Morris, died 29 Sept. 1934. Chester Earl Barnett born 10 May 1899, Arago, Coos Co Ore, mar.Grace Hatcher ; Chester died 12 May 1942, May have been result of WW11. ? Bur. in Myrtle Point Cem next to Parents. Lena Barnett born 30 Apr. 1904, Arago, Coos Co. Ore. died 20 july 1923 . She was working in a store in North Bend Ore and contracted Sleeping Sickness. She is bur. in Myrtle Point Ore. Her brother Chester above was bur. next to her. NOTE: I was there in abt 1985 ans saw the Cem and 1st page in Cem Book in Myrtle Point Court House they had just retrieved from an ol;d,locked Safe abt 2 weeks before I was there that dAY. William bought the Cem plot for 8 graves in 1911? for $5.00. THERE IS A LARGE BLACK onyx STONE imbedded in concrete with William died 19 Dec 1919, and Sarah Hayes Barnett's name and dates died 1911. etc. engraved still shinning beautifully in the Sun. Several more, a couple were also of the family bur there with 2 lots waiting for 2 more family members. R S A Barnett was son of William S Barnett (son of Thomas and Rachael Adams Barnett bur in York Co SC.) who mar. Rohda Campbell Barnett who went to Minigport or Miningtown, Morgan Co Mo. ( Rohda was born there), abt early 1800's., The second child of R S A Barnett and Dicy Ellen White was CYNTHIA Elizabeth born 19th Jan 1857 she Mar. HENRY CLAY WEST Grayson Co,Tx. The third child, was James Davis Barnett born 24 Aug 1860; He mar. Cora Elmina Champion: James died 5 Jan 1936 prob in Grayson Co Tx? 4th child was a Baby, (mo sex listed) born 19 Feb 1863 and died same at birth. His mother Dicy also died and both were bur. together. Not known where these died. Posibly. Grayson Co. I will have to recheck the Cem records. May have died in Farmington, Grayson Co and bur. in closest Cem Unfound in all others. Note: It may be that Mary died i n Bacon Springs , Cooke Co Tx ?? as above William Lived. ther when Nora 2nd child with Sarah Hayes was born in 1888. Not known when he went there Will have to check. After death of R S A Barnett's wife, Dicy 1863 , R S A ( Robert) Barnett mar. her cousin who had lost her Husband due to tractor accident on farm. Robert S A Barnett mar. Dicy's cousin, Sarah Isabel (Allen) Wilborn, a widow and besides her ch. R S A and Sarah had their ch. Don't have date of Mar. 1st, Annie Bell, b 29 Apr. 1868, mar. William W Ferguson. She died 16 Dec 1945. 2. Samuel Andrew b 7 Dec 1869; mar Anna Harding ; He died 4 Sept. 1904. 3. John Smith Barnett b 6 Feb 1871; Mar Ella Johnson; died 23 Dec. 1945. Mary ( or Elizabetth or Earnest b 18 Jul 1873: Mar. ALBERT RUTHERFORD. She died 28 Apr. 1958. Beulah E Barnett, b 3 Mar. 1875 ; mar. MORTON RUTHERFORD; she died 18 Feb 1932 a Brother to ALBERT above. Lena B Barnett b 21 June 1993' Mar. WALTER RUTHERFORD, a BROTHER to ALBERT and MORTON above. This ends the Gen I have at presently put together for these Barnett's Lane, Rutherfords etc surnames connected. I have more to post later. The Dicy Ellen White , wife of the R S A Barnett first 4 ch (i died) are descend. of Bathsheba Barrett Oxford and Samuel Oxford Jr's Dau , Bathsheba Oxford who mar. Jacob Byler 111( with blown up mill), in Nc abt 1804?, had a dau Mary Polly Byler who mar a Benjamin Davis who died . She then Mar Anderson White from Orano ge NC. mar in Al 1825. Their Dau , Dicy Ellen White mar. R S A Barnett. So most of this should be connected to Oxford. Have more on John Robert Barnett's ch who are all passed away now. Will send later. It says Mary S. , (M. it says on a census but S is what is on the listed Mar record with listings of mar records from Sherman Co Court that was copied). for Wm Anderson's wife. Robert Sylvanus Armstrong Barnett had a big wheat farm. I have a picture taken there. It has smoe people in front of the big house. Would have to get it blown up larget to see the people.
