    3. Hi June.........Regarding James Barnett and Polly Stapleton, I received one other reponse with good search suggestions, including the possibility that Polly was not a born Stapleton, but rather a widow Stapleton. That had occured to me, but I cannot find any Stapleton males with the criteria to prove that out. I was born in Palatka, FL in 1927. Came to California 1929 as my father was employed by a bridge building company that built bridges across swift waters. In this case, the Sacramento river at Benicia. A Railroad bridge. There's no Bisbee connection that I know of. As far as I know I am the only one of this branch in this area. However, several of our line ended up in Texas and certainly their descendants move west, too. I have not taken the time required to check out your John Barnett. There are plenty of Johns and James Barnetts. I recall seeing the name on a map and pages of a book I have about Holman's Creek area of Bototourt County Va in the 1750's. There was a family, of whom several males had land grants almost next door to Robert and Charles Stapleton. Brest wishes to you, and thanks for helping Art Stapleton ----- Original Message ----- From: "John and June Schaub" <familyhunter@earthlink.net> To: <BARNETT-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, November 01, 2003 3:50 PM Subject: Re: [BARNETT] James Barnett -Polly Stapleton Me again Art, There was a Stapleton family in Bisbee, Cochise, Arizona when I was growing up there.....it is a small world..... just curious if they were your relatives.
