Frank, do you know anything about where your John Thomas Barnett came from or who his parents were? My ggrandfather is also John Thomas Barnett, born and died (b. 1870, d. 1962) in Perry Co., AL. Just really interesting that they have the exact same name. Melissa - John Thomas' parents were Thomas Barnett and Jane Lane. John was apparently born in Virginia ca 1805/1815. Jane was prob born in Ohio, and prob died there. This was 2nd marr for Thomas. Other children (besides John Thomas, b 1854, OH) were Mary Edna, b 26 Mar 1851, OH; Zachary, b OH, James, b OH & Jane, b OH and died an infant. Very little is known about Thomas. Much more is known about his brother, John Sanford Barnett, b abt 1805 VA, in Lawrence Co., OH in 1850, came to Eddyville, Iowa in 1853.
