WILL of THOMAS BARNETT, YORK DISIT, SO CAROLINA ( born in abt 1767?) ( Will written 15 Nov. 1813. Probated 29 March 1814 Will Book "D" P-6, Case # 9, File # 377. ). In the name of God Amen. I Thomas Barnett, being weakly of body, but perfect mind and memory, do hereby Constitute and ordain this , my last Will and Testament. First, I desire that my Body be buried in descent and Christian Like Manor at the discretion of my Exectutor. Secondly, that all my just debts is to be paid out of my Estate and as for the rest of my Property, I give and bequeath it as followeth.. Item 1..... I give and bequeath t unto my son, William Barnett, all and singular my Lands and tenament not otherwise disposed of both the plantation that I now live on and the part of the land that the said William Barnett now lives on with all the apertaince thereunto belongin to him and his heirs forever as their property and to be at their disposal and I also give unto my son, William Barnett, my Roaned Mair , Tenix, as his property and to be delivered up to him as soon as sircumstances suits the Executor to deliver him up the Land and Mare. Item--- I give and bequest unto my son Alexander Barnett my Negro Man named, Will, at my desease.-- I give and bequeath unto my daughter, Mary Clinton, and her Husband , Joseph Clinton, my Negro or yellow coultered Garril named, Levina, to them and their heirs forever. Item--- I give and bequeath unto my daughter, Sintha McCarter and her husband, Robert McCarter, my Negro Woman named, Ann, to them and their Heirs foprever and the Negro Woman, Ann, is to get the best bed and furniture belonging to it as hir property. I Desire that all my other property is to be sold either before my deseace or after it and whatever remains after all Debts and demands is paid and satisfied is to be equaly devided amougst my four children or their Heirs forever.
