I will just quote the most important parts that i can read or make out fairly well enough to be correct. Thomas Barnet, last will and testement 1828, Case 9, file 376. of York Co. S C. Executor George G Barnett. Lists; I give and bequeath to my; 1.... Daughter, Nancy Price, the two ______, one now in her possession, the other since she married to whit??. Mary Ann and _____atilda and also the beds beding, the ____ ____ things I let her have _______ since ___ marriage. 2 daughter Susan _____ ___ __ __ and her child Rachel that now in her possession and_______ increase for the express purpose of __________ supporting her children during her life. and after said daughter's death i give and bequeth the two said negroes the increase to her children. to be equally divided amoung all her children she still have living . and also her beds and beding and furniture and other things I let her have I leave for the same purpose. 3...I give and bequeth to my daughter , Ann Barnett, one negroe girl named __ ineer, and her increase from the time _____ ____ together with all the ____ and furniture that she claims as hers. that my wife knows to be hers. 4... I give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth C or G Meacham, the negroe girl , Eliza, that is now in her possession, and all the beds and furniture and other things I let her have at and since her marriage. 5... I give and bequeath to my son, Thomas Barnett, one bed and furniture. 6... I give and bequeath to my son, George G Barnett, one sorrel mare called his, the rifle _____ also called his, and my aggon_____. 7... I lend or leave to my wife , Ann Barnett, the Plantation, _______currently being lived in _____________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ and at my wife's death or remarriage provided, that my son, George G Barnett to pay to my son Thomas Barnett, sum of four hundred Dollars payable in 12 equal monthly payments , but it is understood that unless my son George G Barnett pays to my son Thomas Barnett the sum of the four hundred dollars within the said time of 12 months, I will that the land be sold and the money be equally divided between my son's George and Thomas Barnett. 9th... I give and beqeath ti my beloved wife, , Ann Barnett all the rest of my possessions and remainder of my property that I have not will'ed which is now in my possession and my increases of and my 16 negroes in number wirhout counting any increases. from this time together with all rest of residsue and remainder of my property of what ___ and nature cover her paying all my just out of what I have willed her.--. 10th... and lastly I nominate and appoint my friend Benjamin Person, and my son George G Barnett Exectutors both of the district and state above written to this, my last Will and testement hereby revokeing all former wills by me made , and in Witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and affixed my seal, this 14th day of January 1828 Signed and acknowleged the Barnett seal in presence of Jos R Darnell A McGill Joe Y Darnell Probated 5 May 1828 Will Book "G" 1- 239 Case No 9, File 376 ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ NOTE: If someone can identify and provide more on this family I would be very much appreciated. Also I have made every effort to read as much as possible here correctly. If I have made mistake's, they are not intentional. I would like to be corrected if someone has a better copy than I did here. There also is a list of inventory etc too faint to read for here. Evidently Thomas Barnett died after 14 Jan 1828 and 5 May 1828 when Will was proved. I have more to post and some may be in several sections. I have one that may have been a Dr. and it have a long list of names of people that were clients that had outstanding accounts at time of the death?? I will be posting all readable names so if you believe your person was in York Co. area for his services please watch for this to see if your looked for name shows up.
