    3. Hi Lesley: The middle name Glenn suggests a connection to the Barnetts of Goochland Co, VA/Spartanburg, SC. JoRoyall Barnett (1758 Goochland Co, Va-1812 Spartanburg, SC) mar 1785 to Agnes Glenn who died about 1852 in Spartanburg, SC. You need to find your Joseph G Barnett on the 1860 or 1870 census. He should be enumerated with his parents. If you can't find a library with census records in your area, you may borrow the microfilm from the Mormon Family History Centers.
