    1. [BARNETT] SATAN steals Genealogy & moves the DEAD
    2. Maxine Wilton
    3. Satan works with and like the " THIEVES in THE NIGHT " Well, here is yet another disregard to our Ancestors. Stealing our Genealogy where our Ancestors are laid to Rest for us to visit from time to come for Generations to come How can you do this???? How ruthless is our greedy purportrators of these idea's to take our families final resting places for whatever reason. We even are having farmers and builders destroying cemetery plotts for whatever their schemes for wanting what is not theirs for years. Let's all help STOP this terrible, terrible disrespect of strangers doing all this scheming to take others last resting places who can't rise up and stop them. AND DEPEND ON US, THE LIVING DESCENDANTS AND OTHERS WHO DON'T WANT TO END UP IN THE SAME POSITION God will fix them in the end if they do. He has ways of making the rest of their lives MISERABLE if they do this. STOP< STIOP< STOP them now in their planning stage and show them out the door. There are other directions they can go. Banish them from everything they may hold dear. Get them out, Get them out, move them on to elsewhere for their commuting , Destroying our families graves won't help you. Turn around and look and act in another direction. Probably you don't even need all the things you are planning. Take a good look at the havoc and distruction and PAIN you are causing all of those descenandts who are trying to protect our rights and those in the graves to REST IN PEACE. Protect our Genealogy and leave our families REST IN PEACE where they bought and paid for with more than the money in hand but with their suffering, harships and even their lives, and not the modern things we have today. They helped to make today possible for us to enjoy life better than they did. Respect that from before. YOU surely won't be resting in peace if you carry out your proposed stealing and destroying what our Ancestors worked for, suffered and died for so we all have a free country to live in. Drop those plans and take them elsewhere. Move on down elsewhere. away from what beleongs to others. I assure you that you are letting SATAN rule you so that makes you a Criminal stealing from the Dead. You ought to be ashamed to even think it. Let alone be banned from living in this land of FREEDOM. You are taking the freedom they had for buying land for them selves to REST IN PEACE in. If you love your Country and life in this Freedom Place then let those that helped to make it a free place REST IN PEACE forever where they are in their Final Resting Place. I also have many relatives over the counrty buried who fought , suffered hardships, and died for FREEDOM. I beg you to turn around and walk away form this terrible thing of desecrateing and moving our Ancestors from their final Bed. and property they paid for to REST IN PEACE> Maybe someone should take your BED and Freedom away. Yes , how would you like it????? Well if you have no shame then you aren't a human being and are not the kind of person that is wanted or deserves to have Freedpm in America. STOP STOP and SMELL THE ROSES and leave well enough alone. Let our Ancestors stay where they bought and paid for their Finial Bedding down. Go now and forget this idea of stealing what isn't yours to take for ANY reason. Run fast before we catch you and TAR and FEATHER you as they used to do those who did bad things. And this desecrating Cemeteries is something that if you have a part in doing Will HAUNT YOU the rest of your life. Stop now while you have a chance and find another direction to turn your transit etc into. You will need to be buried and how would you like to be in their place down the road. Have your bones and coffin dug into by bull dozers and hauled away and maybe even end up in some dump somewhere all in pieces and broken up etc. as sometimes they do behind the officials backs etc.. or in a Pit as some been found. Bad enough to find that some Others have resold and dup up and discarded our ancestors remains in the past. That was devastating to go to visit a Cemetery where recorded in Bibles, other records, books that our ancestor was at such and asuch a place and get there and find someone place has removed them and put someoen else in their Place of Final Resting. We all saw that in the papers. I surely hope that this message hits home with each and every one of you that are now or ever try to take another Long standing Cemetery grounds. for ANY REASON whatsoever. Stealing is what it is. Are you a THIEF in the Night???? STOP THIS NONSENCE NOW and find another route plans to do whatever you are planning. Yes , I read the long E Mail sent out by my State's Cemetery association. for all us Wasingtonians n nd the whole country to see. We all care.. I care much about my ancestors an myself after I am gone. Maybe someone will send me a E mail to send this to the committee who in Charlotte N C is trying to take parts of these Cemeteries there. I would hope that they can all read my message. In a meeting. Maybe more Mecklenburgh N C people will send a stand up and take notice to it's residents. Don't be like THIEVES in The NIGHT. STOP. and NOW> Maxine Wilton Washington State mmwaw@sprynet.com

    3. Try looking in tax records in the county or counties in which he may have lived. If he owned property, he should appear somewhere. Also check jury lists, church memberships, and local newspapers. 1. [BARNETT] Barnett Surname Project Join Request
    2. Mic Barnette
    3. Hi Jan: Thanks for contacting me. Over the years I have conducted a lot of Barnett Research primarily in the Deep South. It took me many years to discover my roots were in Virginia which did not surprise me. It just took a long time. What we hope to do is get people who can trace their families backward to areas such as VA, NC, SC, PA, MD, etc Then as others come along who can not trace their ancestry back that far, the DNA will give them guidance on which clan of Barnetts they actually do relate to and they can then concentrate on a specific group of Barnetts. We also need to find others who know they come from England, Ireland, Wales, Etc and see if we can get some matches there. Some people will get a surprise of a lifetime to discover their Barnett name may not have always been Barnett. In my own case, I am not real sure if the name might have been Barnes or even Bernard. I am back into the late 1600's and it is Barnett I am just not sure about the next generation back. If your Uncle Charley would like to participate in the project we would love to have him. The project is testing 12 ($99) or 25 ($167) markers of the Y-Chromosomes which are associated with heredity. Every male inherits the markers from his father who inherited them from his father and so forth for centuries. I am urging participants to take the 25 marker test which gives a more accurate set of markers to compare to others . Lets say your uncle Charley and I are related to a common ancestor. He is off one son and I am off another. Theroetically, we should find that we both have the exact DNA marker pattern. The test would not tell us we are off two different sons or which one we descend from. It would tell us we do have a common ancestor at some point. That is where the paper trail comes in. We would still have to research back and discover our common ancestor and whioch son we came off. The main thing would be we would know we are related. Which gives guidence in teh paper trail research part. So far as the test- Family Tree DNA will send him a kit with two swabs. He rubs the swabs around his mouth for about a minute, then does the second swab at least 8 hours later totalling two samples. The swabs are placed in separate vials and sent back to FTDNA who sends it on to the lab at the University of Arizona. After several weeks he will get his results. So far as privacy- The lab only has a number for the test kit. The lab does not know who's DNA they have. They just do the testing. FTDNA maintains the information on your uncle in a computer that is maintained offline and not connected to the Internet so there is no chance for hackers to get the information. They have the information that connects him to the DNA sample and results. The lab report will come back with numbers associated with markers which will be compared to those already returned. We will post the results of your uncle's test using the name of the earliest ancestor you know but not your uncle's name unless he agrees to it. Basically, the results will be posted for others to view and compare to but will associate the results with your earliest known ancestor. When your uncle's results match the markers of someone else's ancestor a relationship can be confirmed. You can go to the Family Tree DNA website. Click on surnames and see what other surname projects are going on. Two I know that are pretty extensive are Graves and Perkins. A more famous testing was the one on descendants of Sally Hemmings who claim to be descended from Thomas Jefferson. In that test the DNA results proved several of the current living male descendants of Sally Hemmings are definitley decsendants of "a" Jefferson. The descendants claim it is Thomas Jefferson. The Monticello Asscoiation still refuses to agree they descend from Thomas Jefferson but admit they could descend from a brother or nephew of Jefferson. You can order a kit for your uncle or have him order it through the FTDNA website at http://www.familytreedna.com Hopefully, your uncle will go ahead and participate. There are a couple others who are in the process of taking their tests. I took my test the other day and have returned it to FTDNA. It should be a couple weeks and I should have my results back. I am excited and will be more excited when others' results are compared to mine. the more participants the more we will learn about all our Barnett cousins! Let me know if you have further questions. I need to set up a website where we can post answers and results. MIC

    3. I am researching Barnetts in Illinois. I have traced my Barnett ancestors back to William Barnett b. March 20, 1825. I do not know where. His mother's maiden name may possibly have been Ballew. He married Elizabeth Caroline Allen, March 1847 in Gallatin, Illinois. Their children are: Sarah F. (1864-??), Alem (1851-??), James Zechariah (1855-1920), Mary L. (1856-??) Angeline (1859-??) Mollie Rhoda. James Zacharia (Zachary) married Lourella (Lilly) Tiora Gibson (1865-1956) February 1, 1883 probably in McLeansboro, Illinois. I just recently received information that Lourella's mother was Cherokee Indian but do not have her name. I do have a picture of her though. They had the following children: Eben Elben (1884-1918) Bertha E. (1885-1966) William Wilson (1889-1952) Charley Washington (1893-???) Eben (Eb) married Rosa Agnes Trammell (1884-1975) February 21, 1907 in McLeansboro, Illinois. They had the following children: Harry Dale (1908-1962) Larry (1910-1912) James R. (1913-1984) Harry is my father and I have more information on the family that I would be glad to share. Researching Barnett, Carey, Thurman, Trammell, Wrenn. 1. [BARNETT] Barnett DNA Project
    2. Mic Barnette
    3. Hi Everyone: I have set up a Barnett DNA Project webpage on the Family Tree DNA website at http://www.familytreedna.com/ Just click on surnames , then on the B's. Anyone who wishes to join the project can purchase their kit though this webpage. I will be sending my DNA samples in tommorrow and a couple Barnetts have contacted me that say they will be sending for kits. I suggest the 25 marker test which is $169. There is a 12 marker test but as many of us will be somewhat closly related soeone who has taken the 12 marker test will probably want to take the 25 marker test at a later date. My idea is do it in the beginning and save time and money later. To be eligible for the test, one has to be a male with the surname Barnet/Barnett/Barnette or be lineally descended in the male line from a Barnett. The reason behind the test being only for males with the name Barnett is we are testing for the Y-Chromosome which is passed from father to son to son for centuries. Women who have Barnetts in their family that wish DNA testing will have to recruit a male in their family that is descended from a Barnett ancestor and currently carries the surname Barnett. We will welcome Barnetts from any state or country. Please visit the FTDNA website. In fact they have a promotional video you can view online. There are alot of answers to questions on the website and links to a lot of other surname projects. You might wish to visit the websites of the other surname projects to get an idea what our Barnett website will be like. If you have further questions, please contact me. I dscend fro John Barnett (d 1756 Goochland Co, VA) and wife Katherine Farrar. My ancestors then moved on to Spartanburg, SC and Perry and Tallapoosa Co, AL MIC

I am anxious to find who Gehoida's parents were. His father could have possibly been named Joseph Barnett. Thanks, Mary Alice Jones
