My gggrandmother is Fannie Barnes. She married George Reese Hammett in Troup Co, GA. They were married by George's uncle, Rev Brockman Hammett. Fannie's sister, Mary, married William A Timmons in the same county. They both moved down into East Texas. I am trying to figure out who the parents of Fannie (Frances E) and Mary L are. I have been told that it was a Mary Frances Mccune and Walter TC Barnes (yet again, another marriage in Troup Co, GA). Walter died in VA. Mary was found living with Fannie and George in TX, not having remarried, so it seems like a good fit. Is there anyone out there who can confirm this information? If anyone is related in ANY way, I would be so happy to hear from you!
