Here is data I have on George Barnes, his son and his grandson, etc.: My gr-gr-gr grandfather was George Barnes (b. 30 May 1760 - d. 30 Dec. 1853) m. Anne (or Anna) Foster [I have no locations except a notation that both were of "English Descent".] Their son "William Barnes" was my gr-gr-grandfather. He was born 29 Apr 1801 in Morgantown, Morgan Co., IN, d. July 14 1875, m. Thressa Shouse on 14 July 1825. Thressa was born in KY. William and Thressa had 10 children: 1. Elizabeth b. 27 Apr 1826, d. 27 Apr. 1826 2. John C. - b. 25 Dec. 1827, Morgantown, Morgan Co., IN; married Caroline Davidson, 23 Nov. 1849 3. Lydia - b. 16 Oct 1829; d. 12 Feb. 1882; m. 8 Oct 1854 Jesse Williams 4. David - b. 3 Nov. 1831; d. 16 Feb. 1833. 5. Oliver Perry - b. 21 Nov. 1833, Morgantown, Morgan Co., IN; d. 9 Feb. 1909, Asotin, Asotin Co., WA; m. Minerva Kilgore on 21 Jan 1858 at Princeton, Mercer Co., MO. Minerva was b. 25 Dec. 1833 in Lexington, Lafayette Co., MO, d. 5 Dec. 1922, Cove, Union Co., OR. [Minerva's father, Andrew Kilgore was born 1800-1804 in KY. Her mother, Alba Wellington was b. 1808-1808 in KY.] (Oliver and MInverva were my gr-grandparents.) 6. Aaron William - b. 4 Feb. 1836; d. 21 Nov. 1862; m. 21 Jan. 1858, Sarah Kilgore (sister of Minerva above) 7. Stephen R. - b.5 June 1838; d. 2 Oct. 1838 8. Harriet - b. 11 Feb 1841, d. 8 Aug. 1851 9. George Warren - b. 13 Feb. 1843, d. 8 Aug. 1878; m. Mary Lord 10. Mary Emeline Barnes - b. 28 Aug. 1845, d. 3 July 1904; m. 9 Nov. 1885 William Kennedy. Several of these siblings seem to be living at Mercer, Mercer Co., MO at the beginning of the Civil War in 1860. In 1862, Oliver Perry & Minerva and the first two of their 10 children moved by wagon train over the Oregon Trail to Cove, Union Co., OR. His brother, George and his family, a widowed sister and perhaps other siblings, moved in the same wagon train. After their children were grown, both Oliver Perry and his brother George moved from Cove, OR to Asotin, Asotin Co., OR.
